According to the Public Relations Office at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, the observance of Prophet Mohammad’s birthday and Islamic Unity Week was commemorated by the international students and officials in International Students Office.

Dr. Zeinab Moazzenzadeh, the head of International Students Office at FUM, congratulated Islamic Unity Week and the birth of Prophet Mohammad to all international students from Islamic countries. She said according to the motto, knowledge, a way to peace and unity, FUM tried to develop the academic diplomacy, and to broaden knowledge among the scholars of all over the world. She maintained that FUM attempted to improve the academic level as well as to play a significant role in bringing about peace and amity among both Middle Eastern countries and other parts of the world.

Following the ceremony, the religious songs were sung and the guests were catered. In the end, the students signed the covenant of letter in which it was stated that according to Islamic foundations, knowledge was one of the factors in establishing peace; therefore, as Muslims, we hoped to provide solidarity among nations and to develop the cooperation with them.
