Guidelines for the admission of postdoctoral students and short-term study programs for non-Iranian students.

For the purpose of regulating the admission process for non-Iranian applicants in postdoctoral and short-term study programs, as well as establishing financial discipline and directing the resulting resources to relevant expenses, these guidelines are prepared in two sections (A) and (B).

According to the resolution of the 40th session of the University's International Affairs Policy Council, the guidelines for the admission of postdoctoral students and short-term study programs for non-Iranian students were approved. The provisions of these guidelines are as follows:

A) International Postdoctoral Programs:

- Applications from non-Iranian applicants for postdoctoral programs, after being received by the International Student Administration, shall be forwarded to the University's Vice Presidency for Research and Technology. Subsequently, the Vice Presidency will refer the application to the relevant faculty for topic review, appointment of the program supervisor, and preparation of a proposal. The results of the review by the department and faculty, along with the drafted proposal, are returned to the Vice Presidency for Research and Technology for decision-making, and the outcome is communicated to the International Student Administration.

Admission of students is contingent upon nomination by a recognized organization, university, or sponsoring institution, and the necessary financial guarantee must be provided.

The program fees shall be deposited into the foreign currency account of the International Student Administration and will be considered as foreign currency revenue for the University's Vice President for Research and Technology.

The program cost for each year is 5,000 euros, which will be paid by the sponsoring institution. From this amount, 4,000 euros will be provided to the postdoctoral researcher in four installments (each installment amounting to 1,000 euros). The remainder will be allocated to cover expenses according to the following table:

20% allocated to the University

20% allocated to the University's International Scientific Cooperation Office (for services)

40% added to the faculty member's research account (Type B) as research encouragement

20% allocated to the relevant  faculty/department

Program costs and the share for each unit are paid in Rials by the Vice President for Research and Technology.

B) International Short-Term Programs:

Applications from non-Iranian applicants for short-term research programs, after being received by the International Student Administration, are sent to the faculty for departmental review and the assignment of a supervisor.

  • Non-Iranian applicants’ requests for short-term research programs will be forwarded by the International Students Office to the respective faculty for review by the department and assignment of a supervisor.
